"147 Security Vulnerabilities Reported in ICS Mobile Applications"

Security firms IOactive and Embedi have released a new report, which reveals the inadequate security of mobile applications used in the monitoring of Industrial Control System (ICS) technology. 34 ICS mobile applications used in conjunction with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems were discovered by researchers to contain 147 distinct security vulnerabilities. This article further discusses the findings shared by the report in relation to the security vulnerabilities contained by the analyzed ICS mobile applications and the disclosure of such vulnerabilities to impacted vendors, along with previous research conducted on the security of mobile ICS applications.
