“Forging a Quantum Leap in Quantum Communication”

A new method has been developed by researchers at Bar-llan University to improve the speed at which data is transferred in quantum communication. The method developed by researchers replaces the electrical nonlinearity of the standard data processing method with a direct optical nonlinearity in order to increase the rate at which quantum information is processed, thus increasing the speed of transfer. This article further discusses the detection of eavesdropping in quantum communication, limitations of the standard homodyne method used in the processing of quantum information, and the method developed by researchers to improve the speed of processing.
