"Cybercriminals Using Telekopye Telegram Bot to Craft Phishing Scams on a Grand Scale"

More discoveries have been made about Telekopye, a malicious Telegram bot used by threat actors to carry out large-scale phishing scams. According to ESET security researcher Radek Jizba, Telekopye can create phishing websites, emails, SMS messages, and more. The threat actors, codenamed "Neanderthals," run the criminal enterprise as a legitimate company. Its hierarchical structure includes members who take on different roles. After being recruited through advertisements on underground forums, the Neanderthals are invited to join designated Telegram channels in order to communicate with other Neanderthals and keep track of transaction logs. The operation aims to perform seller, buyer, or refund scams. This article continues to discuss new details regarding the Telekopye Telegram bot.
