"Crooks Push Holiday Misery With 'Leaksmas' Release of 50M PII Records"

Cybercriminals have released 50 million stolen consumer records, including credit card data and Personally Identifiable Information (PII), as a "Free Leaksmas" gift. Researchers observed the activity and described it as "a form of mutual gratitude." They emphasize that victims will likely face many consequences, such as Account Takeover (ATO), Business Email Compromise (BEC), identity theft, and financial fraud.
