"CISA Announces Renewal of the Information and Communications Technology Supply Chain Risk Management Task Force"

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has announced a renewal of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) Task Force, a public-private partnership with various representatives from public and private sector organizations. They are tasked with identifying challenges as well as developing realistic, actionable, and risk-based recommendations and solutions for managing risks faced by the global ICT supply chain. Over the last two years, the Task Force's working groups have developed products, resources, and tools to help mitigate ICT supply chain risks. In 2023, the Task Force released three products: the Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SMBs) Resource Handbook, the Empowering SMBs Resource Guide, and the Hardware Bill of Materials (HBOM) Framework for SCRM. This article continues to discuss the renewal, purpose, and accomplishments of the ICT SCRM Task Force.
