"Only 3% of Businesses Resilient Against Modern Cyber Threats"

Cisco's 2024 Cybersecurity Readiness Index reveals that only 3 percent of organizations are resilient against cybersecurity threats, representing a significant drop in the proportion of global organizations with a mature level of readiness. Nearly 71 percent of organizations fell into the bottom two categories: 'formative' (60 percent) and 'beginner' (11 percent). The remaining 26 percent were considered 'progressive.' The report surveyed 8,136 private sector business leaders with cybersecurity responsibilities in their organizations and analyzed their security posture across five pillars: identity intelligence, machine trustworthiness, network resilience, cloud reinforcement, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) fortification. This article continues to discuss key findings from Cisco's 2024 Cybersecurity Readiness Index.
