According to 1Password, disruptive technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) have exacerbated the tension between organizational security and employee productivity. Information Technology (IT) and security teams are struggling to keep up, even as their organizations face new challenges in a landscape constantly reshaped by rising cyber threats and disruptive technologies. Although IT and security teams work to increase employee access to new tools and technologies, the challenge of keeping up with technological advances while also protecting their organizations has grown significantly. Fifty percent of security professionals believe it is nearly impossible to strike the proper balance between security and employee productivity. Sixty-nine percent admit to being partly reactive regarding security, mainly because they are being pulled in too many different directions. Seventy-nine percent say their security measures are insufficient.
