"VR May Pose Privacy Risks for Kids: A New Study Finds Parents Aren't as Worried as They Should Be"

As more children use Virtual Reality (VR) apps, new research suggests that few parents understand VR technologies' security and privacy risks. According to the study, few parents actively address security and privacy issues. North Carolina State University researchers interviewed 20 parents with children under 18 who use VR apps. The interviews sought to understand parents' perceptions of VR app risks, how they protect their children's security and privacy when using such apps, and which VR stakeholders they believed were responsible for protecting their children. This article continues to discuss findings from the study on the privacy risks VR poses to kids.
