"Commonwealth Cyber Initiative Funds 11 Inclusive Cybersecurity Projects"

A new Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI)-funded inclusive cybersecurity program in Virginia is helping people feel safer and more secure on computer networks and other devices. CCI awarded 11 projects for its 2024 Addressing Inclusion and Accessibility in Cybersecurity Program. One of the projects, conducted by Lannan Lisa Luo and Qiang Zeng of George Mason University’s Computer Science Department, will address authentication technology accessibility gaps to enable people with disabilities to seamlessly and securely interact with everyday objects in their environments, promoting independence and inclusiveness.
