ABOUT

The IEEE European Symposium on Security and Privacy (Euro S&P) is the younger, more adventurous, and tastier sibling conference of the IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy ("Oakland" or "NorCal S&P") conference. It is a premier forum for computer security and privacy research, presenting the latest developments and bringing together researchers and practitioners.

This year, Euro S&P will host a total of 13 pre- and post-conference workshops:

## IWPE: 2025 International Workshop on Privacy Engineering (https://www.iwpe.info/)

Privacy engineering research is emerging as an important topic. Engineers are increasingly expected to build and maintain privacy-preserving and data-protection compliant systems in domains such as health, energy, transportation, social computing, law enforcement, public services; based on different infrastructures such as cloud, grid, or mobile. While there is a consensus on the benefits of an engineering approach to privacy, concrete proposals for models, methods, techniques and tools that support engineers and organizations in this endeavor are few and in need of immediate attention. To cover this gap, the topics of the International Workshop on Privacy Engineering (IWPE) focus on all the aspects of privacy engineering, ranging from its theoretical foundations, engineering approaches, and support infrastructures, to its practical application in projects of different scale.

  • Submission deadline: Feb 28, 2025, 23:59 AoE (extended!)
  • Notification: Mar 20, 2025

## ACSW: Automotive Cyber-Security Workshop (Workshop home: https://acsw.unimore.it/)

The goal of the Automotive Cyber Security Workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners, interested in all aspects of automotive systems security, to contribute with and discuss new advances in the field of automotive cybersecurity. The workshop aims to present recent advances in the state-of-the-art for cybersecurity of road vehicles, bringing together researchers and practitioners across all areas of computer security focusing on automotive systems. All papers discussing security and privacy issues of modern vehicles are welcome for submission. ACSW particularly welcomes papers focusing on the security of communication networks found inside and outside the modern vehicles, on the privacy issues related to modern infotainment systems, and on the forensic analysis of modern vehicle components.

## STAST: 15th International Workshop on Socio-Technical Aspects in Security (https://stast.uni.lu/

The workshop intends to stimulate an exchange of ideas on how to design systems that are secure in the world where they interact with users of varying lived experiences and diverse needs. STAST aims at bringing together experts working in various areas of computer security as well as in social and behavioral sciences.

  • Submission deadline: 13 March 2025 (AoE)
  • Notification: 7 April 2025 (AoE)

## SysTEX: Workshop on System Software for Trusted Execution (https://systex-workshop.github.io/2025/)

SysTEX focuses on research challenges related to Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) and explore new ideas and strategies for implementing trustworthy systems with TEEs. These TEE primitives enable fine-grained and flexible trusted execution, but also introduce numerous novel challenges and opportunities for developers of secure applications. Hence, there is a burning need for cross-cutting systems support and security analysis of such TEEs that span all the layers of the software stack, from the OS through runtime to compilers, programming models, and novel applications.
