“Why These Cybersecurity Researchers Are Automating Vulnerability Assessments”

Researchers at the University of Nottingham have developed the Online Cyber Security System (OCYSS) support service, which aims to support organizations in the maintenance of adequate cybersecurity. OCYSS has been designed to quickly collect information on system vulnerabilities and warn organizations of newly detected vulnerabilities that they may be affected by. The support provided by OCYSS derives from consistently updated and semi-automatic security assessments of organizations’ digital infrastructures in order to identify system vulnerabilities faster. This article further discusses the development, support, and goal of OCYSS, along with how this system is expected to improve upon the cybersecurity of organizations.
