HoTSoS 2018 Author Guidance

As in prior years, papers will appear in the conference proceedings to be published by ACM Press. The ISBN number assigned to HoTSoS 2017 is 978-1-4503-6455-3

ACM has created a new LaTeX template and updated the existing Word templates. They are to be used in conjunction with the ACM e-Rights System and the ACM CCS 2012 Author Support Tool found in the ACM Digital Library (See instructions under “Generate CCS Codes”  top right of http://dl.acm.org/ccs.cfm).

The 2012 CCS is too deep and rich for authors to manually generate the proper non-printing CCS coding for the database and the coding for the abbreviated display in the finished document. When authors incorporate the code blocks generated by the ACM e-Rights system and by the CCS 2012 Author Support Tool in these the correct ACM Rights Statement and bibliographic strip automatically appear in the author’s paper along with the proper display of the CCS indexing terms chosen. (And a hidden block of XML encoding will also be incorporated in the source file for extraction use in the ACM Digital Library.)

ACM has developed a new webpage which contains the new proceedings templates and CC2012 guide here: http://www.acm.org/publications/article-templates/proceedings-template.html/. If you have any problems with the templates, please contact ACM’s TeX support team at Aptara (acmtexsupport@aptaracorp.com). Please upload a camera-ready version of your paper to the EasyChair site by Thursday, March 1, 2018.

The ICPS program and ACM Author rights Policies have recently changed. Please refer to the following web page for more information: http://www.acm.org/publications/icps-instructions/.

ACM uses an automated rights management form collection system for ACM published proceedings. You must use this system!

As rights management emails are sent from an automated system, there is a chance that emails sent will wind up in SPAM folders. Please make sure that you set email SPAM settings to allow emails from "rightsreview@acm.org". You will be sent the ACM form and complete instructions. All of the rights management forms must be submitted/approved four weeks prior to the start of the conference. After completing the rights management form, you will be emailed a copy of the form and the correct rights management text to add to your paper. You MUST add the correct ACM rights management text to your paper.

We highly recommend that the lead author check the information in the ACM eRights Grid (or the article/author information on the eRights Form) to ensure that the title, authors, and email address' are accurate. As the completed forms are a contract between ACM and the authors, they must have the correct information within the form before ACM can publish the article.

Presenter bios and headshots will be publicized on the conference website along with the presentation abstract. Please submit a brief bio and headshot photo to https://cps-vo.org/hotsos18/submit-bio by Thursday, March 1, 2018.

If you have any questions please contact the organizers at hotsos2018@cps-vo.org
