"Emerging Memory Devices Used to Develop Electronic Circuits for Cybersecurity Applications"

Dmitri Strukov, a computer science professor at UC Santa Barbara, and his team are working to strengthen the security of IoT devices through the implementation of a chip that utilizes ionic memristor technology. The use of this technology prevents the replication of nodes in a network, which would be used by cybercriminals to initiate attacks from inside the network. This article continues to discuss the use of ionic memristor technology to improve the security of IoT devices, other methods of attack that could be avoided through the use of memristors, and the ongoing research behind this technology.
