"Using Machine Learning to Detect Software Vulnerabilities"
A new vulnerability detection system has been developed by a team of researchers from Draper and Boston University. The system uses machine learning algorithms for the automated detection of software vulnerabilities. Although researchers have focused largely on C/C++ code in the research and development of this system, their technique could also be used to discover vulnerabilities in source code written in other programming languages. This article continues to discuss the exploitation of software security vulnerabilities, existing programs used to detect such vulnerabilities, and the new software vulnerability detection tool developed by researchers.
