A new AI algorithm has been developed by a team of researchers that could deem text-based CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) security completely ineffective as the algorithm is able to quickly and accurately decode different versions of text-based CAPTCHA. The AI tool uses a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) to defeat CAPTCHA security.
