"New Research Center Aims to Make Electronics More Secure"

The Center for Hardware and Embedded Systems Security and Trust is the National Science Foundation's new research center aimed at protecting electronics and networked systems from being hacked, damaged, and spied on, which will be led by the University of Cincinnati (UC). The National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Defense, and industry leaders will work with the center to do research focused on strengthening the security of products against cyberattacks. The center's academic partners include the University of Virginia, the University of Connecticut, the University of Texas at Dallas, the University of California, and Northeastern University.
