Check Point cybersecurity researchers recently released a report in which they discuss their discovery of vulnerabilities contained by the popular video conferencing platform, Zoom. According to the report, the exploitation of these vulnerabilities would have enabled hackers to join in on video meetings, eavesdrop on calls, and possibly access files shared in a meeting. Although the security flaws were disclosed to Zoom and the company quickly responded to fix the vulnerabilities, this discovery further raises concerns about the security and privacy of video conferencing apps that must have access to a user's microphone and camera.
