"Researchers Discover That Intel Chips Have an Unfixable Security Flaw"
Security researchers at Positive Technologies have discovered a flaw in Intel chips that is very difficult to exploit and is completely unpatchable. The vulnerability is within Intel's Converged Security and Management Engine (CSME). CSME is a part of the chip that controls system boot-up, power levels, firmware, and, most critically, cryptographic functions. Any adversary that found this flaw and was able to exploit it would be able to inject malicious code, decrypt encrypted files, and eventually commandeer one's PC.
