"41% of UK Workers Haven’t Received Adequate Cybersecurity Training"
Researchers surveyed 1342 businesses across 11 different sectors in the UK and discovered that an average of 41 percent of UK employees across all industries have not received adequate cybersecurity training. Travel and hospitality was the worst sector, with 84 percent of the staff stating they have not received sufficient training. The industries that had the highest levels of adequate cybersecurity training, according to the study, were banking and finance (23%), recruitment and HR (19%), and legal services (16%). The results of this survey are concerning because there has been an increase in cyberattacks targeting employees that are working from home due to COVID-19. Human error was the cause of 90 percent of cyber data breaches in 2019.
