"Virginia's Largest School System Hit With Ransomware"

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), Virginia's largest school system, recently faced a ransomware attack on its technology systems. The Maze hacking group claimed to have been behind the attack. This ransomware attack disrupted distance learning for some students and staff in that those who were affected had to switch to asynchronous learning activities during the incident. The Maze ransomware group claimed responsibility for the attack and said they stole private information from FCPS. They also published some of the data online to prove their involvement in the attack.
