"Researchers Disclose Top Vulnerabilities Abused by Ransomware Gangs"

Security researchers have created a list of flaws commonly abused by ransomware gangs to infiltrate a victim's network. Allan Liska, a member of Recorded Future's Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), made a call to action on Twitter to security professionals, asking them to point out the flaws they often see being used to gain access to networks. Following the tweet, many security researchers listed security flaws discovered in several products from hardware and software vendors. One security researcher by the name of Pancek3 on Twitter created a diagram of flaws commonly exploited in the launch of ransomware attacks, which organizations could use to prioritize points of their infrastructure when implementing defense solutions. These flaws include those found in products from Pulse Secure, Citrix, Fortinet, SonicWall, and more. This article continues to discuss the compilation of a list of vulnerabilities commonly used by ransomware gangs to breach victims' networks and other recent efforts to reduce ransomware attacks.
