“DazzleSpy Mac Malware Enabled Key-Logging, Screen Captures, File Extraction, and More”

Security researchers have released details of Mac malware called DazzleSpy, which is capable of performing malicious activities such as key-logging, accessing the microphone, and taking screenshots. The malware was used in a watering hole attack against Hong Kong democracy activists. Watering hole attacks involve gathering information about a targeted group regarding what websites they frequently visit and installing malware on those websites to infect that specific group's systems. The malware is considered extremely powerful as it allows attackers to access multiple commands such as those that search for a specified file on the compromised computer, enumerate files in Documents folders, exfiltrate a file from a supplied path, start a remote screen session, and more.
