"New Hacker Forum Takes Pro-Ukraine Stance"

Researchers discovered a new hacker forum taking a unique political stance to support Ukraine in its war with Russia, entertaining only topics and threat activity aimed at Russia and Belarus. The Russian-language site, DUMPS Forum, has been around since late May and appeared to be a typical Russian-language cybercriminal forum, according to researchers from Digital Shadows' Photon Research Team. The forum, which has about 100 members, has sections for trading illicit material, carding, malware, and establishing access to targeted networks. While most of the specific activity sections remained empty when researchers viewed the forum, the section focused on leaks was the most populated so far. Users have already shared data stolen from Russian government and private institutions, including several well-known and important government entities as well as utility providers. According to the researchers, much of the current activity on the site is geared toward sharing data leaks. Other top topics promote Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack services, forged and stolen identity documents, and anonymous and bulletproof hosting services, with all cybercriminal activity directed at Russian and Belarus targets. This article continues to discuss researchers' observations of the DUMPS Forum regarding its services, unique political stance, and potential role in the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
