The NYU Tandon School of Engineering and the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) have announced a new partnership aimed at advancing the capabilities of the NYU Center for Cybersecurity (CCS). The partnership will support the new program by utilizing DTCC's nearly five decades of technological, resiliency, and cybersecurity expertise. According to NYU, the school's five-year vision of the partnership with DTCC includes proposals to expand the CCS to have a significant area of expertise in resiliency. This would enhance the center's reputation as a hub of thought leadership, draw in world-class researchers, and create a new generation of cybersecurity and resiliency experts focusing on designs, solutions, and technologies for making systems more resilient against cyberattacks. The partnership will be based on research, education and workforce development, and dissemination and outreach. It will offer opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students interested in researching cybersecurity and resiliency. In order to highlight the expertise and research generated by the partnership, it will also design and develop resiliency curricula at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as organize academic, industry, and government collaborations and events.
