"RIT Provides Customized Cyber Risk Educational Series to S&P Global Ratings"

Cybersecurity experts at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) recently collaborated with S&P Global Ratings credit analysts in an educational partnership to better frame the impact of cyber risk on an organization's creditworthiness. Credit analysts from S&P Global Ratings, the world's leading provider of independent credit ratings, took part in seven customized, immersive training sessions led by ESL Global Cybersecurity Institute (GCI) experts at RIT. The interactive training involved theory and practice, allowing participants to gain a real-world understanding of the current cybersecurity environment and contextualize today's key issues in cyber risk. When a company or government suffers a cyberattack, the potential for serious business, reputational, and financial losses is real, according to Sudeep Kesh, Deputy Head of Analytical Innovation at S&P Global Ratings. S&P Global Ratings has been incorporating cyber risk into its credit risk analysis for several years, and the RIT training advanced the provider's knowledge as the importance of cyber risk management grows. The sessions with the S&P Global Ratings team focused on cybersecurity fundamentals, incident response, governance, risk, compliance, business continuity management, resilience, employee security awareness training, social engineering, and mitigating bias. This article continues to discuss the cyber risk educational series provided to S&P Global Ratings by RIT.
