"US No Fly List Shared on a Hacking Forum, Government Investigating"

A US No Fly list with more than 1.5 million banned flyers and over 250,000 'selectees' has been made public on a hacking forum. A Swiss hacker found the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) No Fly list hosted on a misconfigured AWS server. The server belonged to CommuteAir, an Ohio-based airline. The list surfaced online on a publicly accessible hacking website on January 26, even though steps had been taken to prevent the release earlier. Bleeping Computer confirmed with Thalen and another source that the list is identical to the one previously discovered on the CommuteAir server. This article continues to discuss new details regarding the leak of the US No Fly list.
