S&CC Funding
The S&CC Program has granted over 120 awards totaling almost $90 million (2021 data). The research aims to improve quality of life for people who live, travel, and work in communities. Projects focus on health and well-being; emergency management and public safety; transportation and personal mobility; community planning, education, and the workforce; water, energy, and food. The scope of S&CC research is broad and funding spans across several NSF Directorates, US Federal agencies, and international collaborators.
