The National Security Agency is hosting a workshop focused on Principles & Practice of Privacy Science (3PS). The workshop is to be held at NSA's Laboratory for Telecommunication Sciences facility on the campus of the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland 14-15 December 2015.
The objective of the workshop is to provide a venue for discussion with representatives from across academia, industry, and government focused on privacy concepts and theoretical foundations, and their translation into engineering design and practice, while encouraging the development of an interdisciplinary community of privacy researchers and developers. The results will provide insight into potential future privacy research efforts emphasizing models, methodologies, and frameworks. The workshop will be framed around the following session topics: conceptualization of privacy, converged big data and privacy risk, governance and compliance within the limits of technology, and interdisciplinary privacy.
