"Email Still a Major Attack Vector: Security Research"

Email remains one of the main attack vectors used by cybercriminals. Key findings from different research reports, including those released by Mimecast, Proofpoint, Rapid7, Vade Secure, and more, have been highlighted by eSecurityPlanet. According to Mimecast's State of Email Security report, impersonation attacks performed via email have increased as 73 percent of organizations have stated that they have experienced loss as a result of such attacks. Rapid7's first quarter 2019 threat report has also brought further attention to the increased use of fake login pages for Microsoft Office 365, Exchange, and Onedrive, which victims have been redirected to via phishing attacks.
