The detection of the abuse of API access by malicious actors remains a major concern among security and IT professionals as indicated by the results of a survey conducted by Ping Identity. A large percent of security and IT professionals that participated in the survey expressed a lack of confidence in the ability of their security teams to detect API access abuse in the organizations for which they work. This article continues to discuss other key findings of the survey in relation to concerns surrounding API security and the importance of protecting publicly accessible APIs from abuse.
