Per recent analysis from the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Technology (ICIT), HHS’ Healthcare Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (HCCIC) will greatly improve upon cybersecurity within healthcare organizations as well as strengthen the Department of Homeland Security’s National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC). As the cyber threat landscape continues to evolve for healthcare organizations due to the growing frequency and complexity of cybersecurity threats, more focus needs to be placed onto the security of medical and financial data belonging to patients.
