"MITRE ATT&CK v14 Released"

MITRE ATT&CK v14 is the newest iteration of the popular investigation framework and knowledge base of cyberattackers' tactics and techniques. ATT&CK aims to classify and catalog cyber adversaries' behaviors in real-world attacks. The framework is constantly being modified to consider new behaviors related to attackers’ interactions with devices, systems, and networks. Due to constant changes to methods by which adversaries exploit human vulnerabilities, ATT&CK has broadened its scope with this release to include additional activities that lead to direct network interactions or impacts. Amy L. Robertson, a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer for the MITRE corporation, stated that the expanded scope encompasses social engineering tactics and deceptive practices that might not have a direct technical element, such as financial theft, impersonation, and voice spearphishing. This article continues to discuss MITRE ATT&CK v14.
