"A New Method to Detect False Data Injection (FDI) Attacks"

A solution to detecting false data injection (FDI) attacks targeting critical infrastructure such as electric grids has been proposed by researchers at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). The method proposed by researchers involves the use of a recurrent neural network (RNN). FDI attacks can allow attackers to perform malicious activities such as alter measurements from grid sensors, disrupt the functions of the power grid, and more. This article continues to discuss the suggested method of detecting FDI attacks on critical infrastructure and the weaknesses of other tools that have been developed to detect these attacks.
