“84 Percent of U.S. Healthcare Providers Have No Cyber Security Leader”
A survey conducted by Black Book Research to which 323 strategic decision makers at U.S. healthcare provider and payer organizations responded, reveal that a majority of U.S. healthcare providers do not have a cyber security officer in place. Having a cybersecurity manager within such organizations is essential as medical facilities are often vulnerable to cyberattacks due to poor security practices and other related factors. This article further discusses the findings of the recent Black Book Research survey and another survey conducted by Accenture and the AMA in relation to cybersecurity in healthcare.
