In an article published in the International Journal of Internet Technology and Secured Transactions, researchers from India discussed the security measures implemented for mobile devices that use Google's Android operating system. The researchers suggest that Android and its applications ecosystem are more vulnerable to malware due to their more open nature, while the more closed and isolated operating system used by Apple devices are less vulnerable to malware. Evidence shows that more than 90% of malware targets Android than any other mobile operating system.
