“Bipartisan Senate Bill Would Help States Beef Up Election Cybersecurity”
In an attempt to protect voting systems against hackers, a bipartisan bill called the Secure Elections Act has been filed by six U.S. senators that would help states transition from paperless electronic-only voting machines to paper ballots. In addition to providing sates with grants for this transition, the bill would also improve upon cybersecurity information-sharing between federal intelligence agencies and state election officials.
