"Businesses at Risk for Cyberattack but Take Few Precautions"
Verizon recently released a report on mobile security that discusses the results of a survey to which 876 people responsible for the purchase, management, and security of mobile devices at companies, responded. According to the report, there has been a 33% increase in the number of companies that have had their mobile security compromised. Forty-three percent of companies surveyed revealed that they had sacrificed mobile security to focus on meeting deadlines and productivity goals. It was also discovered that about 20% of companies experienced attacks on their mobile devices because employees used unapproved or insecure WiFi services such as those available in coffee shops, public transportation hubs, and other public places.
