"Cybersecurity of the power grid: A growing challenge"

The U.S. electricity grid faces new challenges as cyberattacks become increasingly dangerous threats than ever before. In addition to protecting the grid against physical disasters, innovations and strategies for combating cyberattacks must also be developed as the grid has become more dependent on the aid of computers and algorithms for data-sharing. Each new technological development introduces more vulnerabilities, which could be detrimental to the entire system. This article discusses the impacts of cyberattacks on the Ukraine electricity distribution control centers as well as how the U.S. can protect the grid from such attacks.
