"Delaware Announces Innovative Cybersecurity Partnership for Young Women"

A partnership between the SANS Institute and the State of Delaware was announced by Governor John Carney and Delaware’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) James Collins. The partnership is in support of providing cybersecurity training to young women in high school. Young women interested in exploring the career field of cybersecurity can register to participate in a program created by the SANS Institute named Girls Go CyberStart, which offers participants the opportunity to demonstrate and develop cybersecurity skills. This article further discusses the goals and support of this initiative, the importance of introducing girls to the STEM field, along with the structure of the Girls Go CyberStart program.
