The US Department of Justice (DOJ) announced a court-authorized operation to disrupt a botnet known as "Raptor Train," which has affected 200,000 devices in the US and other countries. According to unsealed documents, the Raptor Train botnet is run by People's Republic of China (PRC) state-sponsored hackers working for Integrity Technology Group, a company based in Beijing, and known to the private sector as "Flax Typhoon." The botnet malware has impacted connected and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, including Small-Office/Home-Office (SOHO) routers, Network-Attached Storage (NAS) devices, and more.
