"Female Health Apps Misuse Highly Sensitive Data, Study Finds"
New research from King's College London and University College London (UCL) delved into the poor data handling practices followed by apps designed for female health monitoring, which put users at risk of privacy and safety issues. In the study of female health app privacy practices, researchers found apps that handle medical and fertility data coerce users into entering sensitive information, leaving them at risk. The study examined the privacy policies and data safety labels of 20 of the most popular female health apps. This article continues to discuss key findings from the study.
