"Google: Influence Operator Dragonbridge Floods Social Media in Sprawling Cyber Campaign"

Google's Threat Analysis Group (TAG) has been working to disrupt the online presence of the pro-Chinese Influence Operation (IO) Dragonbridge, also known as Spamoflage Dragon, eradicating over 50,000 instances of activity across Twitter, YouTube, Blogger, and other channels. Nearly 60 percent of the 56,771 YouTube channels created by Dragonbridge and taken down by TAG last year had no subscribers, and 42 percent of the content posted to these channels had no views. About 95 percent of Blogger blogs received ten or fewer views, and 96 percent of the posts received no comments. According to the study, over the length of the operation, 100,960 accounts across several platforms, including YouTube, Blogger, and AdSense, were closed. This article continues to discuss Google's massive takedown of the Dragonbridge cyber campaign.
