The Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP) is an independent non-profit organization that is dedicated to the advancement of information security professionals’ knowledge and expertise in order to combat the evolution and growing frequency of cyberattacks. The IISP has released the IISP Knowledge framework, which has been developed to give information security professionals access to a comprehensive and up-to-date body of cyber and information security knowledge. This article further discusses the IISP Knowledge Framework in relation to what it provides and how it could be used to improve upon the development of defense methods against cyberattacks.
