"Leading Password Managers are Insecure, Say Security Researchers"
Researchers at Independent Security Evaluators (ISE) have found popular password managers, including 1Password, Dashlane, KeePass, and LastPass to be insecure on account of poor memory management, which could allow for the exposure of users’ passwords. 1Password, in particular, contained a flaw in which the master password could be found in a computer’s memory in plaintext despite the password manager being locked. This article continues to discuss the discovered insecurities of password managers and responses from the companies that offer these password managers to this research.
