"Maritime Cyber Security Solutions for Autonomous USV Swarm Operations"

MicroSec is a Singapore-based deep technology company that specializes in the security of Internet of things devices. The company will collaborate with ACUA Ocean, another company that develops hydrogen systems, autonomous vessels, and control systems. The partnership aims to deliver an advanced cyber solution technology resistant to quantum-based cyberattacks. The companies both emphasize that current post-quantum security solutions are only partially quantum-resistant or not able to offer security at the device or IoT level. Therefore, they cannot be used to secure connected devices such as those found in autonomous surface ships, aerial drones, and similar devices. The project involves the use of ACUA Ocean's existing LR Approval in Principle on a hydrogen control system, bringing to market a new generation of cyber-secure C4 systems for Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs). The partners will collaborate to speed up the commercialization of autonomous swarms for multi-domain operations, allowing fleets of connected drone ships, subsurface, and aerial assets to operate securely on deployment. This article continues to discuss the multi-year project in which MicroSec and ACUA Ocean will accelerate the resilience and deployment of autonomous cybersecurity solutions.
