The US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia granted Microsoft permission to seize control of malicious domains used in COVID-19-themed attacks, such as those executed against Office 365 accounts, that have become common over the past several months. According to the company, COVID-19-themed Business Email Compromise attacks (BEC), involving millions of phishing emails, have been observed targeting Microsoft business users in over five dozen countries.
