"NIST RPKI Deployment Monitor"
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has released a new version of its test and measurement tool developed to monitor the dynamics of the global Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI) as well as the effects of RPKI Route Origin Validation (ROV) on Internet routing. The NIST RPKI Monitor aims to improve the trust and confidence of the underlying technologies in order to enhance the security and resilience of the Internet's global routing system. NIST's Internet Technologies Research Group developed this tool to improve the robustness and security of the Internet's inter-domain routing infrastructure. The second version of the NIST RPKI Monitor has additional analysis features geared towards gaining a better insight into the stability, correctness, and completeness of the global RPKI-ROV infrastructure. This article continues to discuss the latest update, purpose, and uses of the NIST RPKI Monitor.
