"NYU Center for Cybersecurity and DTCC Partner to Create Comprehensive Cybersecurity and Resiliency Program"

The NYU Tandon School of Engineering, a global leader in engineering research and education, and the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), the premier post-trade market infrastructure for the global financial services industry, have announced a new partnership to advance the NYU Center for Cybersecurity's (CCS) capabilities. In order to support the new program, the collaboration will draw on DTCC's nearly five decades of technology, resilience, and cybersecurity expertise. The partnership's five-year vision includes proposals to expand the CCS to include a major area of expertise in resiliency to enhance the center's reputation as a hub of thought leadership. The goal is also to attract world-class researchers and produce a new generation of cybersecurity and resiliency experts, focusing on designs, solutions, and technologies for making systems more resilient to ever-evolving threats. The collaboration will be built on three pillars, which include research, education and workforce development, and dissemination and outreach. It will expand the pool of Ph.D. students researching cybersecurity and resiliency at NYU Tandon, as well as provide opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students interested in this field. It will also design and develop resiliency curricula at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and generate academic/industry/government collaborations and events to amplify the partnership's talent and research. The collaboration comes as the number, speed, and variety of cyberattacks worldwide reflect the proliferation of connected devices, advances in extended reality systems, Artificial Intelligence (AI), telecommunications, and global supply chains powered by the Internet. This article continues to discuss the new partnership to create a new comprehensive cybersecurity and resiliency program.
