"Phishing Campaign Tries to Fool WebEx Users With Bogus IT Security Warnings"
The Cofence Phishing Defense Center released a report detailing a new phishing campaign that targets users of the video conferencing platform WebEx. According to the report, remote workers who have been using the platform are receiving IT security email messages that appear to be sent from WebEx. The link contained by the emails direct users to a fake WebEx login page where they are asked to enter their credentials. The emails' messages try to exploit the recipients' fears by urging users to update their WebEx software in order to avoid the installation of a Docker container with high privileges on their system.
