Cybersecurity specialists at the Georgia Institute of Technology developed a new approach to login authentication that could improve upon the security of standard biometrics methods in which video or images of users’ faces are utilized. The technique called Real-Time Captcha requires that a user looks into the built-in camera of their smartphone and responds to a randomly-selected question presented as a Captcha within a limited amount of time.
